Triple Berry Crumble

This recipe is absolutely delicious and though it tastes indulgent it's really not that bad for you. Packed with healthy berries and topped with a crispy crunchy crumble mix, this recipe is sure to satisfy the whole family.




Ingredients:

For the filling

1 packet blueberries

1 packet raspberries

1 packet strawberries (cut into quarters)

1 tbsp flour

1 tsp lemon zest

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp sugar


For the crumble topping:

1 stick of cold unsalted butter (100 grams) cut into cubes

A handful of oats (I use steel cut but any will do)

1 cup flour

1/4 cup brown sugar

Pinch of cinnamon


Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F

  2. In a large bowl, toss together all the berries, lemon zest, sugar, cinnamon and flour, pour into baking dish (I use a pie dish)

  3. In another bowl, add the topping ingredients (flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon and butter) and with your hands (or using a dough cutter) mix the cold butter in until you get a sandy consistency

  4. Pour the crumble topping on top of the berries and bake for 40 minutes or until the berries have become juicy and bubbling.

  5. Cool for 20 minutes and enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream
